What Odisee stores and why. Last updated October 24, 2026. Odisee is in development; this policy will be updated before public release.
The short version
- Odisee stores what you enter to build your study plan: role, dates, availability, goals, study progress and your answers to checks.
- Your resume is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic) only if you allow it, and so are a written answer you ask feedback on and, for plan personalization, your confirmed profile. Each needs its own consent, and you can withdraw any of them at any time.
- Resume files and the text taken from them are deleted after 7 days, or as soon as you finish reviewing the suggestions. What you confirmed stays in your profile until you remove it.
- You can download all your data, or delete your account, from inside the app.
- We don't sell data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.

AI providers
With your permission, Odisee sends Anthropic (the Claude API):
- your resume text, to suggest skills;
- a written answer plus the question's rubric, for advisory feedback;
- your confirmed planning profile (confirmed projects and skills, summaries of your check results, your goal, dates and weekly availability, and the reviewed resources your sources allow), to personalize a plan when one is generated.
Each is asked separately before anything is sent. Withdrawing consent cancels pending requests and stops future ones, but can't recall something already sent.
Anthropic's published terms say inputs and outputs from commercial API use are not used for training, and are deleted within 30 days except for usage-policy enforcement or legal requirements.
Course providers
Odisee never signs in to a course provider's site on your behalf and never links your accounts. When your plan points to a course, the app opens the provider's page; what you do there is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
Exporting your data
Profile → Privacy → Download my data creates a file with every record Odisee holds for your account. The download link works for 7 days. Uploaded PDFs aren't included; the text taken from them is, while it is kept.
Deleting your account
Profile → Privacy → Delete account. For your security, you sign in again first. Deletion stops all pending work, withdraws your AI consents, and deletes your resume files, every Odisee record of your account, and your sign-in. It normally finishes immediately; if a storage or sign-in service is briefly unavailable, it finishes automatically within minutes.
What remains:
- A deletion record: your account's random id and the deletion time, with no name, email or content, so the account stays deleted if a backup is ever restored.
- Backups: kept for up to 7 days, then overwritten. Resume files aren't in backups.
- AI provider copies: anything already sent to Anthropic is kept under their terms (up to 30 days).
- Session tokens: a sign-in token already on a device stays technically valid until it expires (about an hour), but it can't read or create anything.
